Irv and Jan Cobb were born and raised in New York State, and met at Baptist Bible College of Pennsylvania. They were married in 1975 and honeymooned by pulling a U-Haul with all their earthly possessions across country to Union Grove, Wisconsin, where Irv worked with Shepherds for 19 years. In 1994, Faith Baptist Church of Omaha, Nebraska extended a call to Irv to be their pastor, where he served for over 25 years until his retirement.
Jan worked at Shepherds, as a cake decorator in bakeries, and most recently as a paraprofessional at Sherman Elementary School in Omaha. Irv and Jan have two daughters. Erin is a pastor's wife in Walnut, Iowa, and Laura is a military wife presently stationed in San Antonio, Texas.
