Liberia

God called Marilee to be a missionary shortly after she was saved as a child of 6 or 7 years of age.  It was her privilege to serve in Liberia West Africa from 1954 until 1980.

Marilee and Albert Ostrander met and were married in 1967 while attending Cedarville College.  Together they spent two four-year terms plus two more years in Liberia.  When Liberia had a military coup in May of 1980, they felt God was telling them they were to return to the states.

Albert was called to be the pastor of a church in Selma, Alabama, and they served there from January 1981 until October 1984.  It was in October of 1984 when the Evangel Baptist Church at Missionary Acres called Albert to be their pastor.

The Lord took Albert home with cancer in June of 1991.  Since his death, and even before, God has given Marilee the privilege of sending out the Mailbox Club Bible Correspondence Course as part of her retirement ministry.  She also has the joy of ministering in several nursing homes and helping with the music of Evangel Baptist Church.
