   Ron was born in Des Moines , Iowa , and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in 1944, at the age of ten. He was active in High School Bible Clubs, Teens for Christ, street meetings in downtown DesMoines, and took part in a weekly youth radio ministry. Ron entered Moody Bible Institute in 1951 to pursue the Pastor's Course. While at Moody he traveled with a male quartet as the accordionist for the group.

   In 1953, Ron married Dona Newbrough in Des Moines . Two daughters were born to Ron and Dona, Bonny and Brenda. Ron was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and discharged in April, 1955. During this two year military duty, he was privileged to be a Chaplain's Assistant. Following discharge from the military, Ron and Dona moved to Johnson City , New York , where Ron attended the Baptist Bible Seminary, and graduated from the Bachelor of Theology program in June, 1960.

Pastor at Berean Independent Baptist Church of Ft. Ashby, West Virginia . (1989-1992)

Pastor at Faith Baptist Church of Fowler, Colorado . (November 15, 1992-October 31,2007)

   Ron's first wife, Dona, went home to be with the Lord on December 3, 1990, after eight years of suffering with Lupus. On May 5, 1992, Ron met Janice Jefferis, a missionary in Portugal under A.B.W.E. and they were married on February 20, 1993.

   Janice Lee Eaton was born in 1941 in Lockport , New York . She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of eight at her mother's side. She was privileged to be a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church started by the late Albert Williams in Lockport N.Y. It was at her home church where she became burdened for missions.

    She met Jesse Harold Jefferis at Baptist Bible Seminary in Johnson City , New York . Together they were missionaries under A.B.W.E. to Brazil , S.A. from 1963-1973. From 1973 to 1983 they served under the Fellowship of Baptists for Home Missions in Columbia , New Jersey . On April 15, 1983, Harold was killed by a drunken driver in a hit and run car accident. The following August, Janice and her four teenage children moved to Lakeland , Florida . Janice went to Spurgeon Baptist Bible College and obtained her B.A. in elementary Education. She taught at Lakeland Christian School for a couple of years until her children were grown. Following the Lord's leading in 1986 she re-enlisted with A.B.W.E. for a term of service in Portugal as a Missionary Children's Teacher. In the providence of God she met and married Rev. Ron McLucas from Iowa , serving with him in his last pastorate in Fowler, Colorado . She enjoyed ministries in music, Ladies' Bible Studies, AWANA, etc.

   With this marriage, Ron and Jan now have a combined total of six children and twenty grand-children.

   They are very pleased to be the new residents at #69 Missionary Acres, as of November 5, 2007.
