Issue No. 4 |
2009 will be remembered as the year that God not only did the impossible, He did the miraculous! What a year! What a Great God we love and serve! In our last issue we shared with you all the monumental tasks that we were facing. We asked God’s people to pray and He answered! In all, the Lord provided 13 work teams and many individuals who came to help in His work! God not only provided help, He also provided many unique donations that you will read about throughout this newsletter. As we write, the new home for the Lantz family is in the finishing stage. Drywall is being taped, trim stained and varnished and some rooms are being primed. We also have made tremendous progress on the house for the Paton family! All three additions are in place and the interior is framed and wired! The Lord also answered prayer for more new residents. Yes, you heard it right! We are thrilled to announce that Pastor Jerry Harris and his wife, Sandy, and Missionaries, Terry and Yvonne Miller will be moving to the Acres in 2010. ~We can’t wait to see what God will do in 2010 ~

THE GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE |

January 1, 2009, 33 Oak Lane was a lot with a few trees on it. Today, it is rapidly approaching the day it becomes the new residence of Joe & Jerry Sue Lantz! The old saying: ‘many hands make light work” certainly applies here! God sent a small army of men and women to make this house a reality. We finally broke ground on April 19th. Our dear friends, John Miller and Jim Coakley arrived followed by another man and 5 Amish men from Northeast, Ohio. In two and one half days these men laid twenty-three hundred, twelve inch cement blocks! (Yes, you heard right!) May 30—June 15, another small army of mighty workers arrived from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Brother Allen Lakey brought 15 helpers the first week, followed by 12 more the second week! In that time, we built all the roof trusses, framed the entire house and had the roof on and shingled. Absolutely amazing! Many of the folks on the crew told us they had never been involved in any type of construction. They sure were fast learners! Ed Walden was a great help as he took the lead of the framing crew. Our great friend, Ralph Dolence came with his son and brother in October to wire the house. Then Jared Raines and crew from Smithville, Ohio came and installed the HVAC. All the wiring and the HVAC system were donated! In addition to these donations, the Lantzes are praising the Lord for the donation of all the kitchen cabinets through the generosity of Providence Baptist Church in Jasonville, Indiana! Isn’t our God good?!
